Updated schedule for FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27

Hi Band Families!

Because of inclement weather on Friday morning, the CBA has decided to postpone the entire event by two hours.  Our original performance time was 3:45.  We will now be performing at 5:45.  Announcements for semi finals will take place at 7:15.  It will be a long and cold day.  Please have your kids dress accordingly!!  We will be going for pizza after the announcement.

Truck loading will be at 10:45 at Littleton 

Parent volunteers for the performance please be at the Air Force Academy by 3:30 to help. If you would like to have lunch arrive by 2:30. Please consider that there may be delays to get in due to Air Force Security checks.  See the attached map. Park in spectator parking. The sign up genius times have been adjusted. VERY IMPORTANT!!! Spectator and Bus Entrance into the Air Force Academy: all buses (charter, school district), private cars, mini-vans carrying spectators, etc. will enter the Academy ground via the North Entrance (Exit 156 off of I 25). Drivers must produce a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration.


From the food team:

Due to the two hour delay for this Friday's competition, we will be feeding the kids at the event instead of at the school as we had planned.  The kids will need to eat their own lunch at the regular time at school (10:30).  Buses will load at 11:45.  We will feed them a big meal at Airforce Academy between 2:00-2:30.  They perform at 5:45  and then wait for the results to see if they make semi finals.  It will be a long day.  Please send your child with water, snacks and money for the concession stand (think hot chocolate!) and for pizza on the way home.  Thanks!

We have a date for the End of Season Dinner!!!! We will have it on Friday November 17th in the school cafeteria. This year is a Potluck Dinner, and your whole family is invited!  We will be sending out two sign up geniuses.  The first one will be to see who is able to attend to get a count for the dinner. The second one will be a sign up for food we are asking for for the banquet.  Just sign up for what you would like to bring!  Thanks for your patience :)

Dear LHS "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band Parents,

I appreciate your willingness to give so richly of your time, energy and commitment to assist us with our Hosting of the CBA 5A Metro Regional and for their exceptional support of our performances at the CBA 4A Metro Regional this past Monday evening as well as their great work yesterday at the Arapahoe Marching Invitational. Our Band parents are an inspiration to me and our students.

Evening Rehearsals this week
Monday, Oct. 23 6-9pm 
Tuesday, Oct. 24 OR Thursday, Oct. 26 6-9pm

State Quarterfinals, Friday Oct. 27
Students will meet in the Band room at 7:30am on Friday.
Students are excused from classes all day on Friday.
Students will rehearse on the Field from 7:50am - 9:30am.
We will then load the truck at 9:30am.
Students will then have some down-time to rest, relax and eat.
Students will need to be changed into their uniforms and ready to board the bus by 11:30am to transport to the Air Force Academy.
We are planning to have food for the students to eat at the Air Force Academy once we arrive.
We plan on unloading the Truck at the Air Force Academy at 1:15pm.
Band warm-ups begin at 2pm.
Band performs at 3:45pm.
We will take pictures after our performance-see below to purchase pictures.
Awards are announced at 5:20pm.
We are planning to go out to Fargo's Pizza for dinner before returning to LHS.
We should return to LHS by 9:30pm.

Air Force Academy Stadium Map, Falcon Stadium, Schedule, Ticket prices
Parents need to be aware that there is a Security Check to get on the grounds of the Air Force Academy. It will take longer then many people expect or plan for. Also, there is a separate parking area that is a fair distance from where the buses and truck will be parking.

We will be having the kids pack a lunch that we provide and take it on the bus with them to the competition.  This is due to the long distance from the bus area to the food area at the venue and also because of possible long waits through security. We will try to feed a heavy snack before they perform at 3:45 however it all depends on how long it takes to get through security.  It will be a long day for them so PLEASE have your child bring a water bottle, snacks and money they can use at the venue!!  If your child has a special need diet, please send snacks and proteins that they can eat in addition to the food we provide.  Thanks for your help!!

2017 Host for CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition Tuesday, Oct. 17
Thank you so much for all your support this past Tuesday as we hosted the CBA 5A regional competition. We appreciate all of your hard work, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for our program and our kids. Thank you!

WE WILL NOT BE SERVING A MEAL AT THE ARAPAHOE MARCHING FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 21!!! Since the competition is held at Littleton High School, the kids are free to go out to eat, bring a lunch or go home to eat and come back to see if they placed in finals. Thank you :)

Thank you so much for volunteering your time at the hosting of the 5A Marching Band Regional Competition to be held at Littleton High School Stadium on Tuesday October 17! If you have any problems on the day of making your shift or have any questions call Nikki Sheeran at 303-591-3202. Please be on time for your shift. It is important that you give yourself enough time for parking and walking.
Please Note… Volunteers are allowed to park in the back by the band room for all shifts. If that lot is full we are asking that you park at the Wells Fargo parking lot across the street from LHS. Volunteers are welcome to a free soda or hot chocolate and food.  Please help yourself either before or after your shift to food and drink. Great job to the kids for their amazing performance at Pomona last Saturday!! Here are a couple reminders for you all from the food team :)

We feed the kids one large meal and one moderate snack either before/after or between performances. If we place in evening finals, we do not serve another meal, so please send snacks and water/drinks with your children, or money to purchase food at the concession stand at the venue. We do this because we are not always sure we will place in finals.

Please remind your child to have a filled water bottle with them at all performances.

We are in the midst of planning the end of season dinner. This year is a Potluck or possibly a special dessert night. The date we are potentially looking at is Friday November 17th. We realize this is the Friday before Thanksgiving Break, so we wanted to let you know this was a possibility in advance for planning purposes.

We wanted to thank all of you for your donations and support this band season!! Your help and response has been amazing!!
