The payment procedure for the 2017 Europe trip has been updated. Student payments will now be accepted through the Littleton High School bookkeeper or the school Online Payment service accessible from the LHS homepage (not Encore as previously communicated). Chaperones and tag-along guests will make payments through the travel agency handling the trip, AdvantEdge Travel & Tours. More information on this is forthcoming.
Because of this change, contracts have been updated and the downpayment deadline has been extended to Friday, September 4th. Please see Mr. Emmons if you need an updated contract or have any additional questions.

Band Update 8/25/15
Reminders
The first field show performance is Thursday, Aug 27th during halftime at the home football game. We still need volunteers to help with setting up prior to the game, as well as volunteers to help carry on/off equipment before and after the band’s performance. It only takes a few minutes, but we do need many people to get it done efficiently. All volunteers can still watch the entire field show from the stands. Water donations are still needed!! Donations of Arrowhead Sport Top Water Bottles are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off in the band room. Our entire supply will be used at the State Fair and will need many more for the upcoming competitions. Thanks!
Europe trip contracts and down payments ($150 each) for all students and family members planning on going with the band in 2017 are due by Friday, Aug 28th. Please make checks payable to Encore and note that it is for the Europe trip in the memo.
Looking Ahead
Evening Rehearsal next Wednesday, Sept 2nd is from 6-9pm. Band pictures will also be taken this evening (due to a scheduling conflict with the prior date). All students should plan to arrive by 5:45 pm, if possible, to allow time to change into their uniforms.
Please join us for our first Chick-fil-A fundraiser of the Fall 2015 Marching Band season!
When: Wednesday, September 9th from 5:30–7:30 pm
Where: Southglenn Chick-fil-A (6907 S. University Blvd, Centennial)
Why: Because Chick-fil-A is yummy…and 10% of all proceeds from the two-hour period will go to support our marching band! (We typically raise $300 or more at each Chick-fil-A night!)
More info: You can dine in, drive thru, or carry out and they will even count food tray purchases. In addition to all of the favorites, Chick-fil-A offers some great healthy options including their tasty salads, Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap and Grilled Nuggets. Check out the complete menu here: http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Food/Menu
A refrigerator-friendly flyer can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_gt4A56URSLZlZiUldQWGRIN2M/view?usp=sharing
Also, thank you for coming out to Yogurtland earlier this month. We raised $28 for the band.
The signup for the CBA event on Thursday, October 15 will be coming out this weekend. This is the biggest fundraiser for the Marching Band each year. Please plan on signing up for a shift or two that day as it will take nearly every parent’s help to pull off the event and make this a successful fundraiser for the band. There will be many shifts available throughout the afternoon/evening from 2:00-9:00 pm. Thanks in advance for your support!!
The Grand Junction trip is only a month away! (September 25-26). Don’t forget that payment for the student portion of this trip ($140) needs to be paid soon. We will also need many volunteers to help the band with both the parade & field show in Grand Junction so please consider coming along. Volunteers staying in the hotel but not riding the bus can stay for a small payment of only $75. More information regarding this trip and a Signup Genius for volunteers to help will be coming out soon.
