State Fair Discount Tickets

Discount tickets are available to any band families wishing to attend the State Fair on Saturday, August 29 when the marching band performs. They are $5.00 each and you will need to let Mr. Emmons know how many are needed by Wednesday, August 19 at the latest. All band members will receive tickets for free admission to the fair, as well as all Parent Volunteers that sign-up to help the band as long as they are signed-up by Tuesday, August 18.

Checks can be made payable to “Encore” and please note that it is for the State Fair in the memo.

Weekly Update 8/11/15

Reminders

-Band Picnic for all band members & their families on Thursday, August 13th. Sign up by today if you are planning to attend.  Here's the link:

-Pictures for Marching Band will take place after school on Friday, August 14th followed by a parade rehearsal until 5:30 pm.

-The Western Welcome Week Parade is Saturday, August 15th. Band members & volunteers need to be at the parade start by 9:00 am. The parade goes through downtown Littleton and will end at Arapahoe Community College at approximately 11:30am. If you’re not already volunteering with the band, please come watch and cheer them on!!

-Band fees are now due. (Please see the Updated Schedule of Fees sent last week.) Payment for the Grand Junction trip ($140 per student) is also coming due soon. We will need many volunteers to help the band with both the parade & field show in Grand Junction so please consider coming along. Volunteers staying in the hotel but not riding the bus can stay for a small payment of only $75.

-Any students and/or family members planning on participating in the 2017 trip to Europe, contracts and down payments are due by August 28th.

Looking Ahead

-Next week there will be evening rehearsals on Monday (8/17) & Thursday (8/20) from 6-9:00 pm.

-Water donations needed!! Each marching band season requires many cases of water to keep the kids cool and hydrated during/after performances. Donations of Arrowhead Sport Top Water Bottles are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off in the band room.  Thanks!

-A Signup Genius for the first home football game went out today.  Please consider helping out and see the band perform their field show for the first time!  Here's the link:


-The signup for the Parade and Performance at the Colorado State Fair will be coming out tomorrow.  Mr. Emmons will order free tickets for entrance to the fair for any volunteers that sign up by next Tuesday (8/18).  After that date, you can still sign up to help, but you will have to pay your own entrance fee.  Don’t delay and sign up soon!

The End-of-Band Camp/Band Season Kick Off Potluck Picnic will be held at Bible Park on Thurs, Aug 13th from 4:30 - 8:30. Park in the lot off of Yale. Our area will be at the table next to the restrooms.
