We are also in need of several band parents who have good skills at sewing to assist us with 2 projects:

1.  Sewing flags for the Colorguard.  These need to be cut from the China Silk material that we have and then sewn around the edges with a double-stitch and then a 3" sleeve needs to be added.  We are making 24 of these flags.

2.  Sewing the material for our front scrims.  We have bolts of the cotton material that needs to be sewn into a 50" by 98" rectangle to attach to our front scrims.  We will need 10 panels made for our scrims.

Fw: LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band Update

Dear LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band Parents,

A quick update and information about the LHS Marching Band program.  Your students continue to rehearse very well.  I am pleased and proud of where we are at in terms of learning music, drill and show routines.  I am looking forward to our performance of Movements 1, 2 & 3 of our show tonight.  I hope that you will be able to be there to cheer them on and to support their efforts.

Tomorrow, Saturday Sept. 15th, we will begin our rehearsal at 3pm on the field.  I have decided to forego our pot-luck dinner for tomorrow evening.  We will feed the students dinner at 5:15pm.  We will not have dinner for all of our band families saturday evening.  I am asking that our band parents join our students on the field at 8:20pm to experience what they experience on the field during a performance.  I am hoping that as many of our parents as possible can join us on the field on Saturday evening at 8:20pm.  We will finish our rehearsal saturday evening at 8:40pm.  

Thank you for all of your support of your students in the LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band program.  I look forward to seeing you Friday evening as well as Saturday evening at 8:20pm.

Some Important Reminders regarding upcoming schedule!

First, there is an evening rehearsal this Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

On Friday, the band performs at a home football game VS Wheatridge.  Call time is 5:30 p.m.  Game should be over around 9:30.  Parent help is needed.  See signup below:

There is another rehearsal this coming Saturday at LHS from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  This replaces the originally scheduled Friendship cup.

Next Tuesday, Sept. 18, an evening rehearsal is schedule from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 19th, is the annual Collage Concert.  For those of you who are new, it showcases all the performing arts classes at Littleton.  Come have dinner before the show at a BBQ sponsored by Encore!  Tickets are $6 per person, or 4 tickets for $20.  To purchase, contact Encore! at:
