Evening Rehearsals this week
Monday, Oct. 23 6-9pm 
Tuesday, Oct. 24 OR Thursday, Oct. 26 6-9pm

State Quarterfinals, Friday Oct. 27
Students will meet in the Band room at 7:30am on Friday.
Students are excused from classes all day on Friday.
Students will rehearse on the Field from 7:50am - 9:30am.
We will then load the truck at 9:30am.
Students will then have some down-time to rest, relax and eat.
Students will need to be changed into their uniforms and ready to board the bus by 11:30am to transport to the Air Force Academy.
We are planning to have food for the students to eat at the Air Force Academy once we arrive.
We plan on unloading the Truck at the Air Force Academy at 1:15pm.
Band warm-ups begin at 2pm.
Band performs at 3:45pm.
We will take pictures after our performance-see below to purchase pictures.
Awards are announced at 5:20pm.
We are planning to go out to Fargo's Pizza for dinner before returning to LHS.
We should return to LHS by 9:30pm.

Parents need to be aware that there is a Security Check to get on the grounds of the Air Force Academy. It will take longer then many people expect or plan for. Also, there is a separate parking area that is a fair distance from where the buses and truck will be parking.

We will be having the kids pack a lunch that we provide and take it on the bus with them to the competition.  This is due to the long distance from the bus area to the food area at the venue and also because of possible long waits through security. We will try to feed a heavy snack before they perform at 3:45 however it all depends on how long it takes to get through security.  It will be a long day for them so PLEASE have your child bring a water bottle, snacks and money they can use at the venue!!  If your child has a special need diet, please send snacks and proteins that they can eat in addition to the food we provide.  Thanks for your help!!

WE WILL NOT BE SERVING A MEAL AT THE ARAPAHOE MARCHING FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 21!!! Since the competition is held at Littleton High School, the kids are free to go out to eat, bring a lunch or go home to eat and come back to see if they placed in finals. Thank you :)

Please be on time for your shift. It is important that you give yourself enough time for parking and walking.

Please Note… Volunteers are allowed to park in the back by the band room for all shifts. If that lot is full we are asking that you park at the Wells Fargo parking lot across the street from LHS. Volunteers are welcome to a free soda or hot chocolate and food.  Please help yourself either before or after your shift to food and drink. Great job to the kids for their amazing performance at Pomona last Saturday!! Here are a couple reminders for you all from the food team :)

We feed the kids one large meal and one moderate snack either before/after or between performances. If we place in evening finals, we do not serve another meal, so please send snacks and water/drinks with your children, or money to purchase food at the concession stand at the venue. We do this because we are not always sure we will place in finals.

Please remind your child to have a filled water bottle with them at all performances.

We are in the midst of planning the end of season dinner. This year is a Potluck or possibly a special dessert night. The date we are potentially looking at is Friday November 17th. We realize this is the Friday before Thanksgiving Break, so we wanted to let you know this was a possibility in advance for planning purposes.

We wanted to thank all of you for your donations and support this band season!! Your help and response has been amazing!!

LHS band schedule week of Oct. 2, and Pomona schedule

Dear LHS "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band Parents,

Thank you again for all of your help and assistance with the Pride of Littleton Band's rehearsals and performance this past week.  We continue to add more material to our show each week and we continue to receive very positive feedback for where we are at and what we can continue to improve.

This week's schedule

This week (the week of October 2nd) we have an evening rehearsal on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6pm - 9pm at the Stadium with Mr. Jair Klarfeld (who wrote and arranged our music this year). This is our most important rehearsal of the season so far in preparation for next competition at the Pomona Invitational this coming Saturday.  

Up Next: Pomona Marching Festival
This Saturday, Oct 7 we are competing at the Pomona Marching Festival. Call time is at 9:00am at LHS; we plan on returning around 10:45pm. Here is the information sheet for Pomona
Please keep an eye out for a sign up genius on FACEBOOK Monday or Tuesday to sign up to help with field show and truck loading and unloading. For planning, truck loads at 10:30 am at LHS, field volunteers will need to be at the NAAC (Northern Area Athletic Complex) Stadium at 19500 West 64th Parkway in Arvada by 1:15pm. Please plan on staying through our expected finals performance.

Prop help!

Finally, we need some help assembling the backdrop scrim panels for use on the field on Tuesday evening. If you are available to help us at Littleton H.S. on either Monday or Tuesday afternoon between 3 - 5:30pm, we would really appreciate your help and assistance.  We also have some small painting projects that need to be done as well.

2017 Host for CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition
The LHS Lion Pride Marching Band is hosting the CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition at the Littleton High School Stadium on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and also a wonderful opportunity to see the 5A Marching Band field shows.
In addition to the volunteer help we need (please sign up using the link below) we are also requesting monetary donations to fund the Concessions for that evening to allow to make as much profit as possible from this one-night event.
