LHS band schedule week of Oct. 2, and Pomona schedule

Dear LHS "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band Parents,

Thank you again for all of your help and assistance with the Pride of Littleton Band's rehearsals and performance this past week.  We continue to add more material to our show each week and we continue to receive very positive feedback for where we are at and what we can continue to improve.

This week's schedule

This week (the week of October 2nd) we have an evening rehearsal on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6pm - 9pm at the Stadium with Mr. Jair Klarfeld (who wrote and arranged our music this year). This is our most important rehearsal of the season so far in preparation for next competition at the Pomona Invitational this coming Saturday.  

Up Next: Pomona Marching Festival
This Saturday, Oct 7 we are competing at the Pomona Marching Festival. Call time is at 9:00am at LHS; we plan on returning around 10:45pm. Here is the information sheet for Pomona
Please keep an eye out for a sign up genius on FACEBOOK Monday or Tuesday to sign up to help with field show and truck loading and unloading. For planning, truck loads at 10:30 am at LHS, field volunteers will need to be at the NAAC (Northern Area Athletic Complex) Stadium at 19500 West 64th Parkway in Arvada by 1:15pm. Please plan on staying through our expected finals performance.

Prop help!

Finally, we need some help assembling the backdrop scrim panels for use on the field on Tuesday evening. If you are available to help us at Littleton H.S. on either Monday or Tuesday afternoon between 3 - 5:30pm, we would really appreciate your help and assistance.  We also have some small painting projects that need to be done as well.

2017 Host for CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition
The LHS Lion Pride Marching Band is hosting the CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition at the Littleton High School Stadium on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and also a wonderful opportunity to see the 5A Marching Band field shows.
In addition to the volunteer help we need (please sign up using the link below) we are also requesting monetary donations to fund the Concessions for that evening to allow to make as much profit as possible from this one-night event. Please view a letter from Nikki Sheeran here detailing how your donation of any size can help raise over $9000 in concession profit alone!

(The only exception to this is the positions in the Judges Booth in which volunteers will need to be able to commit to the entire time frame for their duties.) Instructions for the various volunteer duties will be given when you arrive at your position that day/evening. *Please note that most of the times have changed. We strongly encourage you to double check the times that you signed up for. The reason for the change is because the event is starting later but will end at the same time. We hope there won't be anymore changes regarding time but if there are we will notify everyone. If you haven't signed up please do so, we especially need people for parking!!! This signup opportunity is only for adult workers (band students will have their own duties at this event). Younger children are not allowed to attend with the volunteers so please make arrangements for child care, if needed.

Band fees can be viewed
Finally, Band fees have been assessed to each student's Infinite Campus account.  We appreciate having these band fees paid by mid-November so that we can settle all our accounts regarding the Marching Band activity.
