Updates and Western Welcome Week information

Dear LHS Band Parents,

Thank you so much for all of your help and assistance over the past several weeks.  Many of you were able to join us for our last Band Parent Work day on Saturday, July 29th during which we accomplished many items for the good of the Band program here at LHS.  Several of you were able to host students from Takayama, Japan.  We heard back recently from the MEM Travel Office who coordinated the trip for the Takayama students and they wanted our LHS Band parents and families to know how appreciative all of the students were of their time spent with us here at Littleton High School this past weekend.  Finally, thank you to all of you for your support of our End-of-Band-Camp picnic celebration this past Wednesday at Belleview Park.  I am especially appreciative of Martha McCannon and Becky Stouder for their work in arranging our meal together and I know that they are very grateful for all of the help that our families gave bringing food for that event.

A couple of things that are coming up this next week:

1.  Saturday, August 12th is Band Parent Work Day #2 from 9am - Noon here at LHS in the Band room.  Anyone who can come and help with some different projects that morning would be greatly appreciated.

2.  Tuesday, August 15th -  From 5pm - 9pm, our students have our first evening rehearsal of the season.  We will also have our formal band picture taken at 6pm.  I am hoping that all parents did receive a picture packet if you would like to purchase pictures of your student.  This is strictly optional if you would like to take advantedge of this opportunity.  We also have a Band Parent meeting at 7pm in the band room while the students rehearse on the field at the Stadium from 7pm - 9pm.  I hope to see everyone there.

3.  We will have another evening rehearsal on Friday, August 18 from 5pm - 9pm as well here at LHS at the Stadium.

4.  The Western Welcome Week parade is on Saturday, August 19th.  Please see the file link for information.

5.  We are in need of someone to take over running and managing the LHS "Lion Pride" Marching Band website.  Please let Mr. Emmons know if you have an interest in serving the band in this capacity.
