Reminders:
-The evening band rehearsal this week originally scheduled for Thursday has been moved to Wednesday, August 19 due to field availability. Same time 6:00-9:00 pm.
-Full evening band rehearsals next week will take place Monday (8/24) & Wednesday (8/26) from 6:00-9:00 pm.
-The first home football game is next Thursday, August 27. Come watch football and see the band’s first halftime performance of their field show. It takes many volunteers to move the equipment needed for each show so please consider helping out by signing up on the Signup Genius for this event. Here’s the link.

-The Colorado State Fair Parade & Performance is Saturday, August 29. The band will be leaving meeting at LHS at 6:00 am and will return at approximately 9:30 that evening (note updated time). We currently have all the volunteers we need for this trip (thank you!!), but all are welcome and encouraged to cheer on the band at both the parade & stand-up performance in Pueblo if you can. -Water donations are needed!! Each marching band season requires many cases of water to keep the kids cool and hydrated during and after performances. Donations of Arrowhead Sport Top Water Bottles are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off in the band room. Thanks!
Looking Ahead:
-The Grand Junction trip is Friday, September 25 thru Saturday, September 26. Don’t forget that payment for the student portion of this trip ($140) needs to be paid soon. We will also need many volunteers to help the band with both the parade & field show in Grand Junction so please consider coming along. Volunteers staying in the hotel but not riding the bus can stay for a small payment of only $75. More information regarding this trip and a Signup Genius for volunteers to help will be coming out soon.
-We have several upcoming restaurant fundraiser scheduled. Please put them on your calendar so you can come stop in and eat while supporting the marching band! Here’s the dates coming up soon:
