Dear LHS Band Parents,
Thank you again for your active support of our "Lion Pride" Marching Band students. They are doing great. Our evening rehearsal last night went extremely well. Your students worked very hard and accomplished a great deal. I am very proud of their work and effort.
A few reminders: the evening rehearsal originally scheduled for this evening (Wednesday Aug. 22) has been moved to tomorrow evening (Thursday Aug. 23) from 6 - 9pm. We got moved due a conflict with athletics from AHS. Also, we will be taking the entire marching band to the Glenmoor Country Club this Friday afternoon to perform at the LHS FUNraiser. We will meet in the band room at 4:30pm, change into full uniforms, travel by bus to Glenmoor Country Club, perform for 25 minutes and then return by bus to LHS in time to be at the Football game to perform the National Anthem before the game and then our show at halftime that night. We are offering the students dinner at 4pm on friday afternoon if they would like to take advantage of it.
For Saturday Aug. 25th, we need at least three vehicles to take our equipment to the State Fair. It has worked best with 2 pick-up trucks and someone who has access to a 8' x 10' trailer. Please let me know if you have one of these types of vehicles and can be with us for the State Fair day. I really need to know if anyone has access to a trailer that we can use for the day.
Keep the donations of bottled water with the sport tops coming, we need more cases for our parade on Saturday.
