"Dear LHS Band Family,
As you hopefully know, we are hosting 24 students from
Takayama, Japan this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 10, 11 & 12.
We have received gracious help from many of and have covered housing all
of the students at this point. Thank you so much for doing this and for
providing these students from Takayama a unique experience here in Colorado.
A situation has arisen in which an adult gentleman coming on the trip was
going to be housed at my home (Emmons) and I just learned last night that he is
allergic to pets (of which we have 3 cats in our household). So
therefore, I am desperately trying to find housing for this person. It
needs to be a home without pets. I have been assured that he is a fine,
respectful and kind gentleman who really wants a home experience in America.
Please let me know if you or anyone else you know might be able to have a
guest in their home this weekend. While we do have a schedule of
activities for the weekend, this Gentleman would not have to be at all the
activities for the students, so you would have a great deal of freedom.
He would enjoy going anywhere and doing anything that you would offer.
