This weeks schedule and information for Legacy + other updates

Monarch Marching Festival Recap
Dear LHS Band Parents,
Thank you so much for your all of your help at the Monarch Marching Band Invitational this past Saturday.  You Are The BEST!!!  I am so very impressed with your positive spirit, your helpful attitude and your wonderful efforts to assist the band, all through a rain-storm downpour!!!  I hope that you are dry and warm by the time you read this.

Our students had a very strong first competition performance of the season.  We set our goals to focus on:  1. our Music & Sound;  2. our Musical & Vis Effect.  Out of the 13 bands that were able to perform before the cancelled the rest of the show performances, your "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band was ranked 2nd Overall in Music and 1st Overall in Effect.  We certainly met our goals for this performance and will continue work hard to meet our next goals and challenges of performance ahead.  Thank you for helping us have a very successful day.

This week's schedule
For this coming week, we have 2 evening rehearsals scheduled for Monday, Sept. 25th and Friday, Sept. 29th from 6-9pm in the Stadium.  For the Monday evening rehearsal, I realize that Parent-Teacher Conferences have been scheduled.  If students are with you for a conference between 6 - 7:30pm, then please have them join us on the field after their conference time.  Otherwise, we plan to see all of our students on the field at 6pm on Monday and on Friday.  Please note, that the weather forecast is for cold weather on Monday evening, please have students bundle-up so that we can get some good work done on the field.

Next up--Legacy Marching Festival
Our next competition is this coming Saturday at the Legacy Marching Festival.  Please click on each for more information:  Information sheet, Maps, Directions and Schedule for this event.

If you are able to come and assist the band for this coming Saturday, we would really appreciate your help and assistance.  Please Sign-up for this event on the Sign-up Genius so that we can keep track of the 30 volunteers that we need for this show.
Flute and Clarinet parents will be helping out with the food at Legacy. Thank you!  Flute and Clarinet parents, please use this sign up to let us know how you can help. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094ca5ac2fab9-legacy

2017 Host for CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition

The LHS Lion Pride Marching Band is hosting the CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition at the Littleton High School Stadium on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and also a wonderful opportunity to see the 5A Marching Band field shows.
In addition to the volunteer help we need (please sign up using the link below) we are also requesting monetary donations to fund the Concessions for that evening to allow to make as much profit as possible from this one-night event. Please view a letter from Nikki Sheeran here detailing how your donation of any size can help raise over $9000 in concession profit alone!

WE NEED YOU!!!! Please follow this link to sign up to help with this important fundraising event: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4fa4a92ca57-201610Please feel free to sign up for one or more shifts. (The only exception to this is the positions in the Judges Booth in which volunteers will need to be able to commit to the entire time frame for their duties.) Volunteers should plan to check in at the entrance to the stadium a few minutes prior to your shift. Instructions for the various volunteer duties will be given when you arrive at your position that day/evening. *Please be aware that the times for some of these shifts may need to be adjusted slightly as the event gets nearer, but all volunteers will be notified if changes are made.

The following individuals have already volunteered to cover specific jobs for the entire day:Announcer - Mike Ahlstrand, Timing Judge Assistant - Nathan Royster, Tabulators - Sean Burns, Danny Aguilar, Medical Personnel - Chris Harris
This signup opportunity is only for adult workers (band students will have their own duties at this event). Younger children are not allowed to attend with the volunteers so please make arrangements for child care, if needed.

Band fees can be viewed

Finally, Band fees have been assessed to each student's Infinite Campus account.  We appreciate having these band fees paid by mid-November so that we can settle all our accounts regarding the Marching Band activity.

Thank you so much for your help, assistance and support.

Sincerely,
