Reminder on Marching band/Colorguard fees!

As the marching band program is very expensive, it relies on student fees to pay for expenses such as transportation and meals.  Please check your student's balance on the band website using their online code:

http://www.lionpridemarchingband.org/student-band-colorguard-fees-owed

If you don't know your student's online code (it will be the same as their code for their Encore account), please contact the Encore treasurer at lhsencoretreasurer@gmail.com

A breakdown of fees, per student:

Meals and transportation: $190
Uniform maintenance: $50
Drill master official marching shoes: $30
Extra fees for Percussion students: $60
Extras fees for Colorguard: $40

Total for marching band students: $240 without shoes; $270 with shoes
For Percussion: $300 wo shoes; $330 with shoes
For Colorguard: $280

The balance of fees was due the week of September 3rd.  Many students have not paid fees, and that has put the marching band expense account in the red.  We still have many expenses to pay for the CBA Quarter finals; not including Semi and Finals, should the band compete in those.  Shortly, individual emails will go out to those who have not finished paying fees. Please help us by getting those fees in ASAP.

Thanks!

Message from Mr. Emmons

"LHS (The BEST!!) Band Parents,

Thank you again for your amazing support, work and efforts on behalf of our students this past weekend at Grand Junction.  We had a great experience in large part because of you all being there.  I look forward to seeing many of you again this weekend at our home football game on Friday evening at which we will perform our ENTIRE show for our home crowd, and at the Arapahoe Invitational on Saturday here at our own LPS Stadium.

I also really appreciate how many of you have responded to support our hosting of the CBA 5A Metro Regional event this Monday afternoon and evening.  This event does not happen without your help.

Finally, we are in need of an Announcer for the CBA event on Monday. The Announcing script is completely written out with all of the timing marks written in for the Announcer to follow.  The Announcer will need to arrive at the Stadium Press Box by 4pm and will Announce until 9:20pm[The Announcer does have a dinner break.]  I simply need someone with a good, confident, articulate voice who would be willing to do this for us.  While there are a great deal of names to read throughout the evening, you do get one of the best seats in the stadium for each band's performance.

Please let me know ASAP if you or someone you know would like to fulfill this duty for us on Monday evening.

Thank you again,
Don Emmons, Instrumental Music Director
