Important information regarding tonight's rehearsal!
Mr. Emmons was just informed that the LHS Athletic department is having a guest motivational speaker in the theater tonight from 5-6:30pm and would like all of our marching band students to come and hear him. This speaker is in town because he is speaking with the Colorado Rockies baseball team and regularly speaks with professional teams throughout the country.
If possible, please come to the theater at 5:00 pm. Band rehearsal will begin following this event at 6:45pm on the field tonight. Thanks!

Band Update (8/15/2016)

Tuesday, August 16 - Evening Band Rehearsal 6:00-9:00 pm.

Saturday, August 20 - Western Welcome Week Parade 9:00-11:30am
Band members need to be in uniform w/instrument at the parade start by 9:00am - 5827 S Gallup St (in front of the Vent Hair Salon just south of Littleton Blvd). Littleton High School will be open by 8:00am if your student needs to pick up their instrument/uniform that morning. The parade will finish at Arapahoe Community College by approximately 11:30 am. Band members are free to go at that time. Since the parade starts and ends at different locations, please make sure your student has arrangements to be picked up at the end of the parade.
Saturday, August 27 - Colorado State Fair in Pueblo - 6:00am-8:30pm
This is an all day event. The students will march in a parade in the morning and play a stand-up bandshell performance of the field show in the afternoon.

Band Photos of each individual student and a group photo were taken last Friday afternoon by Lifetouch Photography. If you haven't already placed an order, you can go online to order at https://order.lifetouchsports.com and enter the Picture Day ID that was on the flyer given to the students at pictures.
Band Fees will be paid through the student LHS accounts this year. The bookkeeper will be inputting these fees into REVTrack once the class schedules are finalized. This is normally a couple weeks after the start of the school year.
A meeting for all those interested or already signed up to go on the Hawaii Trip over Spring Break will be announced soon after school starts.
Donations Needed
2 EZ Up Canopy Tents (to borrow for season or as a donation) - Can be dropped off in Band Room.
Monetary donations to buy concessions for our CBA event in October - Checks of any amount can be made out to LHS Marching Band CBA and given to Nikki Sheeran.

Here is the online order link for the Band Photos that will be taken this Friday afternoon by Lifetouch Photography. We will take pictures of every individual student as well as a group picture and then parents can go online to order what they wish. (There are no physical order forms this year.)

Band Update (07/31/2016)
Thanks to all who attended the band parent meeting last Monday. It was wonderful to see such a good turnout! Mr. Emmons went over many details that involve the band/parents in the next month. Much of this info you will see reflected in the Weekly Band Update as schedule changes/additions as well as in the info/needs section.
Yesterday (Saturday) we had a Parent Work Day. Thank you to the many parents & students who came to help. Mr. Emmons was very pleased with the work we accomplished!

Please note that all volunteers that sign up for the State Fair by August 5th will receive a free ticket for admission to the fair!
