Parade of Lights information sheet

The 2013 Parade of Lights is on Friday night Dec. 6th at 8pm and on Saturday night Dec. 7th at 6pm. The Parade Route and information is online at http://www.denverparadeoflights.com/ Call time for Friday is 4:45pm and for Saturday at 3:00pm. We will return to the bandroom at LHS by around 10:00 pm on Friday night and should be back by around 8:00pm on Saturday night. You need to make sure that you have transportation or rides home in advance. On Saturday evening, we have reserved Cici’s Pizza on the corner of University and Dry Creek for everyone who would like to go and celebrate our Parade of Lights performances. $5 per person will allow you access to the Pizza Buffet and drinks. This parade will be very, very cold. Be prepared to perform in extremely cold weather conditions. Get the gloves, hand warmers, under-armor or anything else you need to be warm enough to perform in the cold. You will need to provide any holiday decorations that you are doing for your instruments on your own. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to come watch the parade and cheer on the LHS band and colorguard as we perform. The parade will be telecast live by channel 9 at 8pm on Friday night. It will be rebroadcast on Saturday, Dec.14th at 6pm. Help Needed to Get Uniforms Ready for Parade of Lights

Hello Lion Pride Parents! It is time to get the uniforms ready for the Parade of Lights. We will be having a work day on Monday, December 2, from Noon – 7PM in the band uniform room so PLEASE join us for an hour or two sometime during the day. All the lights and garland are attached to the uniforms using safety pins (about 33 pins per uniform), so NO SEWING SKILLS ARE NEEDED to help out. Each uniform takes about 20 minutes to complete (and we have about 68 uniforms that need lights), so you can see that this is a HUGE task that Nikki and I cannot finish without some serious band parent help. URGENT! NEED SOMEONE TO RECORD TONIGHT'S DISTRICT ORCHESTRA CONCERT AT LHS
