Upcoming Monarch marching Festival 9/23
Monarch Marching Festival
This Saturday, September 23, 2017 is our first marching Competition at Monarch! Call time is 9am at LHS. Please see the attached info sheet here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents who are assisting us with moving Band Equipment onto the field for our performance MUST sign-up for this event on Sign-Up Genius. We have a limit of 30 total spots for parents to help at each event per the new CBA rules. Please Register on Sign-up Genius to help with this event.
2017 Host for CBA 5A Regional Marching Band CompetitionThe LHS Lion Pride Marching Band is hosting the CBA 5A Regional Marching Band Competition at the Littleton High School Stadium on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and also a wonderful opportunity to see the 5A Marching Band field shows.
WE NEED YOU!!!! Please follow this link to sign up to help with this important fundraising event: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4fa4a92ca57-201610Please feel free to sign up for one or more shifts. (The only exception to this is the positions in the Judges Booth in which volunteers will need to be able to commit to the entire time frame for their duties.) Volunteers should plan to check in at the entrance to the stadium a few minutes prior to your shift. Instructions for the various volunteer duties will be given when you arrive at your position that day/evening. *Please be aware that the times for some of these shifts may need to be adjusted slightly as the event gets nearer, but all volunteers will be notified if changes are made.
The following individuals have already volunteered to cover specific jobs for the entire day:Announcer - Mike Ahlstrand, Timing Judge Assistant - Nathan Royster, Tabulators - Sean Burns, Danny Aguilar, Medical Personnel - Chris Harris
This signup opportunity is only for adult workers (band students will have their own duties at this event). Younger children are not allowed to attend with the volunteers so please make arrangements for child care, if needed.

2017 Homecoming Football Game-Volunteers needed!
2017 Homecoming Football Game
Littleton High School Homecoming Football game is on Friday, Sept. 15! To be successful, we need to have 22 parents there to help move the pit percussion and other field equipment during halftime. The game starts at 7:00. Sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4fa4ad22a31-2017
6:00 pm - 4 people to set up the stands for the band. I will be there to show how to do it.
7:30 pm - 22 people to help with halftime
after the game - 6-8 people to clean up after the game.
As volunteers, we ask you to where a black shirt and black pants/shorts. We try to blend in, because we don't want to take away from the band.

Work day cancelled and football game volunteers needed

Thanks for coming out tonight for the work night and the meeting. I just want to let everyone know that there will NOT be a work night tomorrow again NO work night tomorrow, Sept. 6. Everything that needed to get is getting done. Thank you all for your help. The goal of getting the covers done before homecoming is achieved.

LHS LionPride Marching Band Weekly update Sept. 4
Thank you so much to each of our band parent Moms who came and helped with pinning on the red sashes to our uniforms this past week. They look terrific and it was very impressive with how many you got done in one night. Huge thanks as well to Mike Sheppard to spear-heading our sound system set-up and for Danny Aguilar's assistance with this project. Congratulations again to our Band for their exceptional performance at the Colorado State Fair Parade in Pueblo last weekend. Out of 24 competing Marching Bands, your "Pride of Littleton" Marching Band finished 2nd in the 4A Division and 2nd in the Overall Sweepstakes!!!For the week of September 5th:We have a Band Parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 5th at 7pm in the Band Room. We will be discussing our upcoming Marching Band Competitions, some final work projects that need to be accomplished as well as making final plans for the CBA Metro 5A event that we are hosting here at the LPS Stadium on Tuesday, October 17th.We also have parent work nights scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 5:30pm - 7pm (then everyone can go to the Band Parent Meeting) and Wed. Sept. 6 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. We need as many of you to bring an iron as possible, one that has a steam setting. Also, some ironing boards and extra scissors for trimming fabric would be much appreciated. If you are able to bring a sewing machine, we have Velcro that needs to be sewn onto the fabric as well. We will be meeting in the band room. If you have specific questions, please call Nikki Sheeran at 303-591-3202.The Marching Band has NO evening rehearsals or Saturday commitment this week. We do have our 2nd Home Football Game on Thursday, Sept. 7th. Call Time is 5:30pm and we plan on performing Movements 1 and 2 of our show that evening.Finally, we do have our Restaurant Fundraiser at Rubio's Coastal Grill Restaurant at 111 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton, CO 80120 on Friday, Sept. 8th from 5pm - 8pm. Here is the flier.
