-Evening Band rehearsals will take place tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 22nd & Wednesday, Sept. 23rd from 6:00-9:00 pm. If you have food donations for Grand Junction, Stacey Shigaya will be there to collect them at the end of each rehearsal.

-The Grand Junction trip (Colorado West Marching Band Festival) is Sept. 25-26. Mr. Emmons must have all student fees and health/waiver forms for this trip by Thursday, Sept. 24th. The equipment truck will likely be loaded on Thursday night (instead of Friday morning). We will send out communication and update Signup Genius as soon as the time is confirmed. Call time for all students is 7:00am at LHS Friday morning. The band will stop for a rehearsal at Battle Mountain High School near Edwards from approximately 10-2pm. (All volunteers going on this trip should plan on helping with equipment at this rehearsal.) After checking in at the hotel in Grand Junction, the band will have dinner/games at Bananas Fun Park. The band performs in a parade Saturday morning (starting at 10:00 am) and then will perform their field show at Stocker Stadium at 4:00 pm. Following the field show competition/awards, the band will stop for dinner. All students will need to bring money for the meal Saturday evening. The buses will arrive in Littleton very late Saturday night. If you are planning to go on this trip sign up here to help:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4fa4a92ca57-20155

Looking Ahead

-Pomona Fest Marching Competition is Saturday, Oct 3rd. We are still waiting on performance times/details for this day but please look for a Signup Genius to be sent out very soon. This festival is at the North Area Athletic Complex (NAAC) in Arvada and will include a daytime performance for the preliminary competition and hopefully another performance in the evening if the band makes it to the final competition.

-The CBA Regional 5A Marching Band Event is Thursday, Oct.15th. This signup was resent over the weekend and, as you can see, we still need more volunteers! Please sign up to help! Also, if you know of any licensed medical and/or security personnel that could volunteer a few hours, please have them sign up or email Nikki Sheeran at we5sheeran@comcast.net for more information. All other volunteers please sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4fa4a92ca57-host

-The next Germany trip payment of $200 is due the week of Sept 28th. Student payments can now be made by credit card through the school online payment system or paid by cash/check directly to the LHS bookkeeper. The online payment system can be accessed from the bottom of the LHS homepage. Choose “Littleton High School” and then “Student Fees.”  Once signed in, look for a new line item titled “Infinite Campus MUSIC/Travel–Spring 2017. Enter $200 and then complete the order. (It will also charge a $2 service fee.) All family members/tag-along payments will still need to be mailed directly to the travel agency, AdvantEdge Travel & Tours, 6480 South Downing Street, Centennial, CO 80121. (The travel agency is working to get a credit card payment option, but it is not yet available.)

-Do you have gently used coolers w/attached lids or easy-up canopy tents you’re not using? The band could really use a couple newer ones to use at parades and/or competitions. Please let Marsha Prokuski (cmprokuski@msn.com) know if you might have one you could donate to the band. Thanks!
