IMPORTANT Schedule Notice!

Dear LHS Band Parents,

I look forward to seeing you this Thursday evening for our next home football game.  The game this week begins at 6:30pm, so we really need our parents who are able to come and help to be there between 5:30 - 5:45pm to help us with set-up and equipment.  See signup link below.  Also, I will need someone to video the halftime performance by the Band so that we can show it to our band students on Friday morning for enjoyment and feedback.  Students will need to be at the bandroom at 5:00pm for their call time.  Everyone should be done around 9pm and ready to go home.  We do not have any band activities this coming weekend, but we do have an evening rehearsal next week on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 6 - 9pm as well as another home football game on Friday, Sept. 14th. 

This email is also to inform everyone that Friendship Cup Marching Band competition event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15th at LPS Stadium has been cancelled by the Friendship Cup Association.  Only 4 bands registered for this event and they needed 10 in order to have the event run that day.  In place of the event, we will be having our own rehearsal that day at the stadium from 3pm - 8:30pm with a dinner break from 5 - 5:45pm.  We would like to have a pot-luck dinner at the stadium that evening and will be doing sign-ups for food dishes by section.  After dinner, we are inviting all of our Band Parents to the field to march with your student on the field.  This will give you a chance to experience what your student does in our show.  It will be something that you will not easily forget. 

Finally, we are in need of some emergency help tomorrow evening (Wednesday, Sept. 5th) from 6pm - 8:30pm to finish painting the platforms that were built this past Saturday.  We would like to use them on the field for our show this Thursday evening at the Home Football game.  Please show up on Wednesday evening between 6 and 8pm if you can help us out for a few hours.

Clarification on using Encore funds to pay Band fees

I do not automatically take Encore funds for band fees.  If your student is going to use those funds, they must fill out the withdrawal request and submit it to Mr. Emmons.  Request form:

A REMINDER that all band fees are due today.  Again, if you need to see your student's balance, use the online code you were given previously and check here:
