Friendship Cup Food Donations - Sept 12

Hi Band Parents!

We will be providing dinner for the students and all volunteers at the Friendship Cup on Sat, Sept 12th. Here is the link to sign up to bring food items:

Band Update (9/1/15)

Reminders

-Evening Full Band rehearsal/pictures will take place Wednesday, Sept 2nd from 6:00-9:00 pm. Students need to arrive by 5:45, if possible, to change into their uniform.

-Water donations are desperately needed!! Donations of Arrowhead Sport Top Water Bottles are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off in the band room. We have almost used our entire supply already and will need many more for the upcoming competitions. Thanks!

-Europe trip contracts/down payments are due Friday, Sept. 4th. Please turn in the down payment by check ($150 payable to Littleton High School) accompanied by the contract signature page. This should be given to Mr. Emmons. Once the down payment is received, the LHS bookkeeper will set up future payments in the online payment system for all students going on the trip. Chaperones and Tag-Along guests need to submit the contract signature page to Mr. Emmons, but mail the down payment check ($150 payable to AdvantEdge Travel & Tours) directly to AdvantEdge Travel & Tours, 6480 South Downing Street, Centennial, CO 80121. Information on future payment by credit card through the travel agent will be coming soon.

Looking Ahead

-A Home Football Game half-time performance will take place on Thursday, September 11th at 7:00 pm.  Please sign up to help the band have an awesome performance. -Friendship Cup Clinic/Competition is Saturday, September 12th at the Englewood High School Stadium. Information about this event can be found at the following link:  


We will need many volunteers to help the band have successful performances that day! There are opportunities to sign up for both the afternoon and evening performances, but if you are only able to help with one of the performances, that's ok, too! -Our first Chick-fil-A restaurant fundraiser will take place next Wednesday, September 9th from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Southglenn Chick-fil-A (6907 S. University Blvd, Centennial). 10% of all proceeds from the two-hour period will go to support our marching band! You can dine in, drive thru, or carry out and they will even count food tray purchases. -The CBA Regional 5A Event Signup Genius went out yesterday. The Littleton Marching Band hosts this event and it is the biggest fundraiser for the band each year. It will require the help of nearly every band family in order for this to (once again) be a success. Please sign up to help at the following Signup Genius link: 

-The Grand Junction trip is less than a month away! (September 25-26). Don’t forget that payment for the student portion of this trip ($140) needs to be paid soon. We will also need many volunteers to help the band with both the parade & field show in Grand Junction so please consider coming along. Volunteers staying in the band’s hotel (Grand Junction Doubletree) but not riding the bus can stay for a small payment of only $75. Please let Mr. Emmons know if you want a room so that he can get you on the list. More information regarding this trip and a Signup Genius for volunteers to help will be coming out very soon.

Picture sharing site

Hello Band Parents!

Carrie McNealy has created a Shutterfly share site for the Marching Band. This is a great way to view and share pictures throughout the marching band season. People can create new albums on the site to share their photos, as well as download the images to their computers or order prints through Shutterfly.
